Huge information you will get from Wikipedia regarding the history of tarapith but I am giving you the information regarding the temple gate opening time, closing time for visitors, main worship timing, best time to visit etc.

Puja procedure: -

The main gate of the temple is nearly 500 meters away from auto stand and will be open at 6.00 AM to 12.00 PM and 1.00 PM to 11.00 PM for adorer. In between 12.00 PM to 1.00 PM, they do not allow to enter any adore because this is the time of offering "vog" to Tara Maa.

There are so many shops are available on the road side for arranging your puja dish. You may take your puja dish according to your budget. Lots of brokers are available there. When you will take the temple's road from the main road, they catch you and they will ask you to take a dish of worship from their shop. They will tell that you may put your shoes in their stalls.
On the right side of the temple's main door, there is a stall to put your shoes. Token system is available here.

There are three types of line inside the temple to reach in front of 'Tara maa'.

• VIP line: - The care taker will give you the permission to enter the main temple through the exist gate but they will claim 500/- per head for this type of entry. If you have shortage of time then you may choose this options but please bargain with them.

• Paid line: - The priests will claim 200/- per person for the worship in this line. The number of adorers are more compare to VIP line. If you are planning to go tarapith for worshiping on Tuesday or Saturday, then the line will be huge and tentatively your turn will come after two to three hours or may be more.

• Free Line: - No need to pay for worshiping. Take puja dish from any stall. They will provide a priest. He will show you the free line where you have to wait. Then he will give his phone number and say that need to call after reaching a certain distance. In this line, you can't imagine when your turn will come.

After the worshiping, you may take lunch in a hotel, located on the right side of that road. Do not buy any sweet from the stall because they do not maintain the quality.

My experience: -

After reaching tarapith, three brokers are insisting me for taking the puja dish from their shops but I ignore them. Before entering the main gate of the temple, we keep our shoes in that stall which I have already given the description above. We take the puja dish from a stall which is located inside the temple. They provided us a priest.
I never went Tarapith on Saturday before. So we did this plan on Saturday to see the crowd. Then I saw a huge crowd gathered inside the temple. So I talked with my priest for the VIP entry. He claim 500/- each for VIP entry. After bargaining, he agreed to take 300 rupees per person. But I very much satisfied after giving puja.
After taking lunch, we left Tarapith for home.
